Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it on The Ark!

With the Earth destroying itself through the folly of humanity, everyone wanted to flee the planet and find a new one to live on. But, that also is not certain since little is known about this new world they are heading to.

However, at this moment, our stalwart crew is only interested in surviving. In the last episode, they were rationing water and food while trying to grow more. Exhausted, and still struggling, they have been thrust into a situation beyond their understanding.

While discussing this series with other fans it was pointed out to me that The Ark is using a well-worn trope. A crew of misfits wakes up from sleeping pods to a crisis. This is the plot of the movie, Passengers where people are awakened from cryo sleep this was seen in the final episode of the series, Stargate Universe. Is this a bad thing? No, it’s not. Imagine television or movies where an idea is never used again once it has been used. Eventually, there would be no stories to tell.

    The Ark Lt Sharon Garnet

During the pilot episode and continuing in the second, Lt. Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) has taken (assumed) the position of Captain of the ship named Ark-1 even though there are two others onboard of the same rank.

As the leader of Ark-1, Sharon is trying to do what is right for the crew while trying to keep the two senior people of the same rank, Lt. Lane (Reece Ritchie) and Lt. Brice (Richard Fleeshman), happy.

This may be a difficult task since Lane and Brice may not be easy to please and appear to have their own agenda to let Sharon take the lead and then criticise her for whatever.

The Ark S1x02 Ark-1 in space dock

Lane and Brice appear to be getting quite chummy. As they chat about the beginnings of their journey during the episode, we see a Flashback of the first day on board, and are introduced to the builder of the ship, or ships, as we learn, from a huge hologram figure named William Trust (Paul Leonard Murray). It is an interesting name for a guy who seems to be all ego, standing like a Goliath over the crew.

The Ark S1x02 Before the launch of Ark-1

During the group get together, a large map of the Earth is shown. Immense fires are everywhere over the United States.

As always, Canadians and Mexicans have nothing to fear since there are no wild fires shown on those countries. It seems as if only the Americans are about to get charbroiled. Sorry, I had to say it.

    Like It Touched the Sun:

The Ark S1x02 Inspecting the damage

The episode opens with both Lane and Brice and an expendable man on a Space Walk, or EVA outside the ship. They are looking for the damage to The Ark. All does not go well as pieces of debris are knocked off the structure and are headed toward them.

Mr. Expendable, also commonly known as a Red Shirt, is skewered by a javelin-shaped piece of the structure. Another piece has hit Lane in the head and knocked him unconscious. The two survivors quickly return to the ship and head straight to the Infirmary where we discover that the only doctor, Dr. Sanjivni Kabir (Shalini Peiris), is still overwhelmed with patients.

The Ark S1x02 Alicia and Baylor

Perky, newly promoted, and chatty, Alicia Nevins (Stacey Read) arrives for her medical appointment. Although she can be endearing, the chattiness can get annoying.

This happens a lot because Alicia, although well meaning in her intent, is often in the way quite often due to her excited nature. This time she starts to get on Dr. Sanjivni Kabir’s nerves and is told directly and bluntly to “shut up”.

The Ark S1x02 Ceremony for the dead
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

As the environment of The Ark heats up, the lack of sleep, and overwork, put everyone on edge. Not far away, crew members are arriving at a hallway where all of the people they have recently lost are about to be sent into space for burial.

This is stopped when Angus Medford (Ryan Adams) arrives. Angus later explains at a hastily called council meeting that the bodies can be composted into fertiliser to help grow the food they desperately need. A vote is taken and the dead are to be fed into the composting equipment.

The Ark S1x02 Eva says goodbye to Dominik

Eva Markovic (Tiana Upcheva), who has lost her partner mentions that he would have wanted to continue to contribute to the survival of The Ark. This gets to everyone on board emotionally. As well, Lt. Garnet mentions that they still have a murder to solve. It’s good to know that this detail has not been forgotten. CSI: NY, they are not.

This episode provides more information about the backstory of Sharon Garnet, who seemed to just magically appear as she was placed on The Ark by some unknown higher ups.

The Ark S1x02 Sharon is added to the crew at the last minute
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

This creates an air of mystery about her which continues as Felix Strickland (Pavle Jerinic) and an accompanying female crew member, Susan Ingram (Lisa Brenner), who seems to have been given the job of Assistant Security Officer are curious about what she is up to.

Felix naturally wants to know why Garnet is poking around the storage locker where the body of Jasper Dades (Chris Leask), the imposter, was located. He doesn’t accuse her of murder, but he doesn’t rule her out as a suspect. He seems to be a By-The-Book type of guy. Garnet explains that she was looking for the identity of the last person to use the locking mechanism. Shouldn’t Felix have already checked this as the security officer? Maybe he has and is withholding secrets of his own.

The Ark S1x02 Angus deals with problems in the Biodome
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

There is a problem in the Biodome where Angus Medford is working. The water pipes begin acting rather odd, then explode as, I assume, the pressure is too high. Angus does what he can to stop it, but fails. He later tells Garnet that they have lost about 100 gallons of water that they cannot afford to lose. It’s interesting here that they are still referring to units of measure in Imperial rather than metric. I am sure that one hundred years into our future the United States will have gotten on board with the metric system to join the rest of the world. But then, this series is geared to an American audience. So, what say you? Should measurement be in metric or Imperial on Ark-1?

The Ark S1x02 Angus and Alicia find the murder weapon

I would like to note here that the explosion in the Biodome seems to be a metaphor for what is going on with the crew. People are snapping at each other and fights break out.

Upon cleanup, Angus discovers a hunting knife that was blown out of the pipe and could be the murder weapon. It seems that there is to be one major issue after another on Ark-1 while space, and the badly damaged ship appear to be trying to kill the crew. As I shared in my opening paragraph, be careful what you wish for!

The Ark S1x02 Sharon and Cat console Eva
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

Eva Markovic, the crew member who lost her partner, Harris Beckner (Dominik Cicak), has decided that she needs to grieve and is not answering her communications. With a shortage of drinkable water, now, Garnet needs her to be working. It’s bad timing, but she will need to choose another time to grieve. Garnet finds her in a bunk, sobbing.

Sharon enlists the help of Cat Brandice (Christina Wolfe), who we learned in the previous episode is not above manipulation to get what she wants. In this case, she does prove to be somewhat useful in getting Markovic to go to work. However, it is at a price. Lane and Brice are about to lose their cushy one bedroom apartment. Cat needs it as a place to counsel the crew who are having problems adjusting to their new reality. Cat is all smiles when Lane and Brice learn about their new situation.

The Ark S1x02 Command level meeting

Meanwhile, invaluable to the crew as the navigator, or not, Brice decides, with Lane’s support, that he is going to do another space walk to get to the bottom of the ship’s damage after the three agree otherwise in a command level meeting.

Garnet has expressly asked him not to go ahead, but he does not listen too well. Outside, he finds the damage, which he assumes is not caused by debris hitting the ship. It appears to be something else. He discovers a fist sized crystal lodged inside the hole. Brice scoops up the crystal and decides to check if it is as hard as it appears.

The Ark S1x02 James is injured after EVA

As he squeezes it, it breaks into shards and begins dissolving his glove. This exposes his hand to cold space causing frostbite as he rushes back to the ship and to the Infirmary. Don’t sign up for the science team, Brice. In the Infirmary, Brice gets an earful from Garnet. Poor Dr. Sanjivni Kabir mentions that she cannot rest. Unlike the others, when Garnet orders that different shifts get five hours of sleep. Kabir, being the only doctor, has an unlimited supply of patients. We know that this is going to go awry quickly when she either makes a major mistake or collapses.

The Ark S1x02 Fight in the mess hall
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

Naturally, with the ambient temperature running hot, people running on lack of sleep and the stress of the situation, a fight breaks out in the Mess Hall. Both Felix and Garnet get into the middle of it and put it down.

Garnet’s solution is to send people to Cat since they do not have suitable facilities for rowdy crew members. It seems that Garnet is quite an adept fighter. What else is she capable of and why was she placed on board? Was the damage to Ark-1 intentional?

The Ark S1x02 Ark-1 dead in space

Meanwhile, Markovic is working hard in Water Reclamation. She and her team manage to get the system up to 62%, which sounds pretty good to me, but apparently it isn’t.

To do it, she needed to shut down the engine cooling system which also shuts off the engines. So, now they drift.

All of this gets them is a whole four days of drinkable water. Then, they are all dead in space, literally.

The Ark S1x02 4 days of drinking water

So, not only are there interpersonal issues between Garnet and her senior officers, but the crew structure is breaking down, her doctor is running on fumes, and they are about to run out of potable water. Don’t forget that there is also a murder that needs to be solved. The current suspects for the murder are Garnet herself. Does she have something to hide that the imposter was about to expose? Lane may also be a suspect because he inadvertently told Felix that he knew the possible murder weapon was in the water pipe. Markovic also might have a motive because she spit on the imposter at the funeral of the dead crew members. Brice, as a senior officer had the ability to wipe the last user’s information off of the locking mechanism, but seems to have no reason to kill the imposter, that we know of. Finally, we must consider that Felix may have his own secrets.

I close by saying that I eagerly look forward to episode three “Get Out And Push” this week on SYFY in the United States and CTVSciFi in Canada. We leave you until next time with a sneak peek of what will no doubt be an exciting third episode. Enjoy!

When we here at Team WHR heard that Dean Devlin created a new science fiction space based series called the “The Ark” that was given the green light on January 24, 2022, we were ecstatic! Our ecstasy turned turned to joy after watching the first episode for which we have given the creators, actors, crews and network a STRAIGHT A!

First because Devlin is bringing a scripted space drama series back to SYFY for the first time in over a five years when the network decided not to renew it’s top rated series, The Expanse for a fourth season. This subsequent to not renewing the top rated Stargate Universe space opera for a third season in 2012, leaving space drama series fans disappointed to say the least.

Second, other than SYFY’s runaway time travel hit series 12 Monkeys, no scripted space or time travel series has survived for longer than a fourth season on that cable network since the beloved series Stargate Atlantis which ran for a total of five seasons ending on January 09, 2009.

Nevertheless, we are therefore hopeful that viewers will support the awesome series “The Ark” so that it can run at SYFY for least five seasons to become one of the most popular science fiction series in the past twenty-five years!

Science fiction movie and television series fans have admired Devlin since 1994 when he produced the original Stargate movie.

Dean’s work ultimately set the Stargate franchise foundation that led MGM Studios and SYFY (at the time known as The SciFi Channel) to seventeen epic years of television science fiction series success across three revered television series; Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe.

Devlin went on to great success with hit movies and television productions including Independence Day, The Triangle, Leverage, Geostorm, The Outpost, The Librarians, Bad Samaritan and many more including executive producing over 240 episodes of one of our favorite, and famous podcasts “Inglorious Treksperts” with Mark A. Altman!

Now Dean returns to his science roots with The Ark selecting Stargate SG-1 creator and entertainment industry veteran Jonathan Glassner with whom Jonathan worked on with Dean on the hit series The Outpost as his executive showrunner for The Ark.

Working with Rachel Olschan, and Marc Roskin of Electric Entertainment, as well as Jonathan English of Balkanic Media and Steve A. Lee as series producers, all these fine content creators have worked tirelessly to bring this outstanding space based adventure drama series to our screens in 2023 and beyond!

The Ark features a superb ensemble cast. The main characters and stars are: Lt. Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke), Lt. Spencer Lane (Reece Ritchie), Lt. James Brice (Richard Fleeshman), Dr. Sanjivni Kabir (Shalini Peiris), Alicia Nevins (Stacey Read), Angus Medford (Ryan Adams) , Cat Brandice (Christina Wolfe), Eva Markovic (Tiana Upcheva), Felix Strickland (Pavle Jerinić), and Lisa Brenner, spouse of Dean Devlin who portrays Susan Ingram, but unfortunately (apparently?) perishes in the pilot episode.

In addition to a great cast with human interactions that properly sets the tone, good dialogue, excellent special effects, cool costumes and believable sets, the SYFY series description itself is an absolutely exciting enticement for space drama series lovers!

The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.”

In the fabulous pilot episode, when calamity strikes threatening the lives of everyone on board, the three most senior survivors; Lt. Sharon Garnet, Lt. Spencer Lane and Lt. James Brice assume command of the colony ship known as Ark-1.

Things quickly go from bad to worse for the young officers as they try to ensure the survival of not only themselves, but all of the passengers alike in the exhilarating first episode of The Ark!

Everyone Wanted to Be on This Ship:

    The Ark S1x01 Impact warning

The episode begins with an Ark-1 computer video screen accompanied by an audible warning that an impact of some sort has occurred has occurred somewhere aboard the ship. We do now know where the impact has happened at this point in the developing drama disaster.

However, the clear warning sound and screen leave viewers with no doubt that a disaster is unfolding, and that it must be well beyond an ordinary anticipated event the passengers expected to encounter on their journey to wherever they are going.

    The Ark S1x01 Stasis pods

The scene pans to a person who we later learn is Lt. Sharon Garnet in a stasis pod followed by a pan backwards showing a room where row after row of stasis pods are located, apparently numbering in the many thousands.

This is followed immediately with scenes of structural beams on the Ark One ship impacting the stasis pods likely causing instant death to some of their inhabitants. It is at this point that viewers become painfully aware that not all the passengers on Ark-1 are going to survive.

The Ark S1x01 Sharon's statsis pod is activated
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

Lt. Sharon Garnet’s stasis pod is activated as a result of the emergency and she is revived from her sleep to confront the growing circumstances of the crisis.

Moving immediately to the computer console, Sharon discovers that a hull breach of Ark-1 is in progress!

Although the source of the impact breach is unknown, Sharon immediately begins to revive the crew members in her area, informing them of the serious situation confronting all of them. It is at this juncture, as more survivors emerge from their stasis pods, that all of them are young and in the same age group as Sharon. So where are the adults? Are there any adults or older people on Ark-1?

The Ark S1x01 The passengers strtuggle to survive
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

The answer is yes as we follow Sharon to an area where many other cryogenic stasis pods are located. It is here that we see adults, one in specific named Susan Ingram still asleep in her pod.

While trying to revive Susan, the devastating disaster gets worse when Sharon and a few of her fellow shipmates feel another impact worse than the first one.  The roof overhead begins to buckle as this section of Ark-1 begins to tear away from the main body of the ship.

The Ark S1x01 Sharon internalizes the disaster
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

Sharon’s friends scream that they cannot save anyone else and that they must flee that section before they too are killed. Outside, we witness that section being literally skewered and torn apart. A huge piece of debris wedges into the artificial gravity ring causing weightlessness that now begins to affect all the survivors.

Sharon and her friends barely make it to a hatch and seal off the area where the adult stasis pod had previously been located. All are floating weightless but thankfully survived due to their environmental suits and helmets which saved them from asphyxiation in the vacuum of space. Tragically, and apparently, none of the adult passengers survived.

The Ark S1x01 Sharon is blown away when she finds out the Command Pod has been destroyed
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

As the survivors proceed to the next safe compartment, Sharon is able to reverse rotate the gravity ring to free it, thereby restoring artificial gravity. Sharon next turns on life support systems in the safe area of the ship and proceeds to the Command Stasis Pod area.

Things suddenly get much worse. Sharon is blown away when she witnesses that there is no Command Stasis Pod area! It was ripped away from Ark-1 by whatever impacted the ship!

We segue to the medical station 12 where Dr. Sanjivni Kabir is tending to the survivors who are being examined and exercising due to having been in extended cryogenic stasis sleep for four years which caused their muscles to severely atrophy.

The Ark S1x01 Dr Sanjivni Kabir in Med Bay 12

Dr. Kabir is also heard chastising Cat Brandice for spreading unsubstantiated rumors about what has happened to Ark-1, and berating crew member Angus Medford who arrived late for his examination.

Meanwhile, Sharon arrives at Med Bay 12 to meet with Lt. James Brice informing him that everyone in the Command Pod is dead. Although Lt. Spencer Lane and Lt. Brice are the same rank as Sharon, it is clear that Sharon has command presence that they do not exhibit.

The Ark S1x01 Sharon calls a meeting of the survivors
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

Sharon decides to call all the survivors to a meeting to give them the bad news; that they are likely the only people left alive aboard Ark-1 subsequent to the impact disaster that killed the majority of the colony passengers. The remaining passengers are in shock when they hear the facts and that the technical specialties they each have will be required to be extensively utilized if they are to survive the final year of their journey to colony planet. Subsequent to the meeting, those on Ark-1 deal with the following issues that affect their long term survival: Air, Water, and Food!

The Ark S1x01 Cat tries to seduce her way into a shower

Unlike other past space drama series that dwell on such items for many episodes, The Ark deals with the ongoing crisis’ in a forthright manner not lingering on details that would likely slow down the dramatic fun of the series.

Most agree to cooperate, but some labor fakers like female minx Cat Brandice shirk their responsibilities and go so far as to hoard scarce water so she may take a shower! Fortunately, the security guard stops Cat even though she stripped down to her birthday suit in an attempt to use her feminine charms to use rationed water to shower.

The Ark S1x01 Smuggled soil for food
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

The food shortage is being addressed by Angus Medford who has smuggled aboard several containers of enriched soil just in case the colony planet biosphere is not as rich as had been projected by long range scans.

Subsequent to some arguments between the three leaders on utilization of the ships energy and water, critical priorities for survival, Lt. Sharon Garnet, Lt. Spencer Lane and Lt. James Brice agree to leverage the soil smuggler Angus’ super soil factor to help save the passengers.

The Ark S1x01 The Ark-1 becomes a garden for growing food
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

This growing of food in space is somewhat similar to the movie The Martian which turns out to be a saving grace for the survivors who will starve to death long before Ark-1 reaches the colony planet unless food is grown quickly onboard the colony ship.

The growing of food onboard the ship also has the added benefit of converting carbon dioxide which the passengers expel into oxygen that is desperately needed for the welfare of the survivors.

The Ark S1x01 Space suit helmet maintenance

Next we are with Eva Markovic who is performing maintenance on the space suit helmets to ensure that they are all topped off with oxygen in the event of further problems with the ship requiring the passengers to don their helmets. This maintenance will become a critical factor later when an air leak is discovered aboard Ark-1. Not all helmets will have been topped off by the time the ark leak locks down the ship.

The Ark S1x01 Alicia gets a promotion after helping save the ship
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

We move to Alicia Nevins who turns out to be a hero on two accounts; first Alicia, who works in the bowels of the ship on the waste management systems contributes to saving the survivors by integrating the colony water reclamation systems to help purify water on Ark-1.

Secondly Alicia turns out to be a computer geek who while on the bridge of the ship identifies a computer programming glitch that locked up the system. Alicia is immediately promoted from waste management to systems engineer!

The Ark S1x01 Crew conflicts on the ship
Image courtesy Aleksandar Letic Ark TV Holdings Inc & SYFY

Lastly, the title of the episode is a perfect choice when we learned that chicanery and bribery was apparently used by several passengers to gain access to the Ark-1 colony ship.

Lt. Sharon Garnet is accused of being one of those by another individual who impersonated a person to gain access to the ship.

Near the end of the episode this imposter was found dead in a storage locker. Was Sharon involved? Or was another survivor blackmailed and the imposter paid the ultimate price with his life?  We do not know at this juncture.

Details on the extent of this development will certainly be explored in future episodes of The Ark and we eagerly look forward to episode two “Like It Touched the Sun” tonight on SYFY in the United States and CTVSciFi in Canada. We leave you until next time with a sneak peek of tonight’s exciting episode!

What’s New With Stargate? Happy 24th Birthday SG-1 and Atlantis Comic-Con at Home 2021!

    Hi Stargate fans,

Today is the 24th anniversary of Stargate SG-1!

Everyone I know remembers where they first witnessed the first episode “Children of the Gods” premiered on July 27, 1997 in the United States. Do you remember the science fiction wonder and amazement as the phenomena spread across the world shortly thereafter? I do!

It’s been a long wait since the last episode of Stargate Atlantis aired on January 09, 2009 and Stargate Universe on May 09, 2011. There have been many hiccups along the way, but Stargate fans are loyal and have always been interested in whatever new developments are happening with Stargate including the hopeful fandom yearning for a new series when Stargate Origins was brought forth to great acclaim in 2018.

Since then, many times fans have complained. Some said it seemed as if MGM Studios (the owner of the Stargate franchise) was yanking their chains by offering something new only to pull it away again.

Then, out of the mists and darkness rode our knight in shining armor, ready to offer MGM Studios a new path forward for more Stargate by pitching ideas, hoping that one idea would take hold and we would get another Stargate series.

As the owners of The Companion state, “The Companion is a membership science fiction news, commentary and analysis website that serves up premium content on everything from the biggest blockbusters to cult TV shows we grew up with. Proudly ad-free and clickbait-free, The Companion works with actors, creators, and showrunners to break untold stories. Find out more at TheCompanion.app.”

Brad Wright – Image courtesy The Companion

Of course, I am speaking about science fiction industry veteran Brad Wright, Executive Producer of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe. Wright recently visited the team at The Companion App to provide podcasts that should appeal to Stargate fans in specific and Sci-fi fans in general. Click here to view The Companion App interview with Brad Wright.

    The Companion also adds:

“Brad Wright’s Conversations in Sci-Fi is an ongoing series in which Wright catches up with some of the actors, writers and creators he’s worked with over his long career in science fiction.

This is the second podcast from The Companion, following the recent launch of Gaters Gonna Gate with Joseph Mallozzi. Hosted by Stargate writer/producer and Dark Matter showrunner Joseph Mallozzi, the Gaters Gonna Gate group also featured a guest segment with Arrow director and Stargate Atlantis stunt coordinator James ‘Bam Bam’ Bamford.”

Wright’s podcasts will not only give us access to insider information about Stargate’s many forms but the actors and production crews as well.

I and the Stargate fandom are looking forward to hearing more podcasts from Brad Wright in the future that hopefully result in a new Stargate television series and feature movies as we celebrate the 24th anniversary of Stargate SG-1 today!

Last but not least, many thanks to Jenny Stiven for the heads up about the Brad Wright interview with The Companion, and her ongoing support of the Stargate franchise for the past 15 years which includes her time at MGM Studios and conventions.

The Atlantis Crew Get Together Again at Comic-Con at Home!

    Stargate Atlantis Main Cast

Don’t you just love it when a group of people that you love and admire come together for a visit? There should be canapes and drinks!

This past weekend Dial The Gate, courtesy of Comic-Con At Home 2021, brought us David Hewlett (Rodney McKay), Torri Higginson (Elizabeth Weir), Rachel Luttrell (Teyla Emmagan), Paul McGillion (Carson Beckett), Rainbow Sun Francks (Aiden Ford), David Nykl (Radek Zelenka), and Robert Picardo (Richard Woolsey) for an online chat sponsored by Comic-Con International.

I enjoyed the wonderful interaction with everyone. It was simply wonderful to see several friends who love and respect each other chatting again. They take over and leave the host, David Read, struggling to take control back for a few moments, which was hilarious.

David Hewlett, Robert Picardo and David Nykl still have it. Robert Picardo shared that being on Atlantis cracked him up, especially when David Hewlett had something witty to say. Then Robert Picardo said as everyone said goodbye, “Enjoy the pandemic.”

All of the gang admit to really missing the conventions as a result of the shutdown of Covid -19. They also shared with us the projects they are working on and the hopes that some form of Stargate will return to television in the near future. Amazon Prime will now have a lot of pressure on it to bring us more of the series we love.

Unfortunately, other main cast members including Joe Flanigan, Jason Momoa, Amanda Tapping, and Jewel Staite were not available to participate in the Comic-Con At Home Stargate Atlantis reunion panel. The rest of the cast was happy to keep us entertained and it was fun. We include the nice Comic-Con at Home 2021 panel below for your enjoyment.

    Welcome back WormholeRiders!

Using a Round Table format with video to introduce our guests as part of the WHRYouDecide series, today we are excited to explore science fiction and faith with two gifted, well known, and respected authors, Victor Acquista and Gary Morgenstein.

These fine writers have incorporated faith into their works of written art for the edification, enjoyment, and benefit of human beings such as you and I. A bit of back story on faith as reported by TeamWHR over the past thirteen years, we review and provide analysis of same when it is part of the story arc.

As with all WormholeRiders feature articles and interviews we avoid any political or religious judgements to respect the beliefs of everyone including those who may elect to not have faith in religious (or political) beliefs.

TeamWHR strictly adheres to our Team Member Code of Conduct which forbids attacking anyone, disclosing confidential information and/or communications to maintain high standards of professional ethics at all times.

Since the dawn of writing in general, and TeamWHR’s love of science fiction, mythology and fantasy in specific, people have wondered about how faith has been incorporated into works of fiction in plays, movies, television series and books. Here at TeamWHR we have focused on faith in science fiction, most notably in the Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe television series where stories about “The Ancients” and “The Ori” played a central role in shaping one of the most iconic programs in science fiction fantasy genre history!

    The Doci from Stargate SG-1
The Doci from Stargate SG-1. Image courtesy MGM

With seventeen years of franchise television and four movies, Stargate provided over a quarter century of enjoyment for admirers of the MGM Studio science fiction products as seen on SYFY (formerly known as SciFi) in the United States and the CTV Sci-Fi Channel in Canada (formerly known as the Space Channel), as well as dozens of SYFY Channel affiliates around the world.

As fans will recall, the epic sagas spanned time from ancient Egypt to modern times across two galaxies in the first two series, and subsequently across the universe in the third iteration of the franchise, Stargate Universe.

    The Orici from Stargate SG-1
The Orici from Stargate SG-1. Image courtesy MGM

None can forget the evil “Ori” which abused the faith of their followers to provide energy sustenance to the “Priors” (the priests), the “Doci” (the high priest), the “Orici” (the high priestess or queen). The Ori utilized religious propaganda from their “The Book of Origin” to enslave their followers via “prostration” promising everyone eternal life. In fact, the Ori were a malevolent faction whom only used the power they derived to enrich themselves. The Ori broke away from the beneficent equally powerful “Ancients” who sworn an oath to not interfere with the lives of human beings.

In human history dating back thousands, if not tens of thousands of years, there have also been “good”, highly beneficial manifestations of faith written about across the centuries by gifted individuals based upon Buddhist Scriptures, The Talmud, The Bible, The Koran, Shintoism, and many African religions who believe in one creator God, the maker of a dynamic universe. The faiths of various African peoples relate that, the Supreme Being withdrew who remains remote from the concerns of human life.

We greatly respect known as screenwriters, poets, novelists and writers of books who have incorporated faith in their writings, and hope you enjoy this chapter in our Round Table series!

What are the main challenges of writing about religion and faith in the future?

Oh, that religion will no longer exist. Or be relegated to sardonic cult status. The beauty of dystopian fiction is creating worlds which must have some anchor in today. With the current war on organized religion, specifically targeting Christianity and Judaism, there’s a logical strand about a future world absent God. In my upcoming A Fastball for Freedom, America has outlawed religion; there are secret pockets of practicing Catholics. For this roundtable, I’m reading a passage where three characters are about to celebrate Christmas, which is illegal. In the enemy Islamic state, religion has been taken over by fanatics and Christians remain bitterly persecuted and mocked. The Christmas Day parade in the Caliphate is called the Fake Messiah parade. But increasing numbers of Muslims do not share that view of their religion. I address not the specific of a religion but the underlying faith in God and ourselves. Science fiction gives a writer ample literary room. No matter what happens, the human need for something beyond ourselves will never die. In the worst of times, humans cling to hope. Birth rates soared during the London Blitz in World War 2. It’s incumbent on a novelist to explore that, especially when writing sci fi about religion is becoming marginalized. The America of my dystopia is run by The Family, which has replaced religion with individual responsibility backed by the imperative of love and family. A secular religion. Does it work? I let the reader decide. My characters never apologize for their beliefs, across the spectrum. But I respect their point of view as I strongly feel that those of faith should be respected. Religious freedom is a litmus test of a healthy democracy. In the same way it is under assault today, it is under attack in my novels. I’ve no doubt that Victor, Katherine and myself risk being trolled because we dare take this on. Writing about religion in these cancel culture times requires a certain courage. Then again, isn’t that the very definition of an artist?

Do you keep the storylines accessible to all views, or doesn’t that matter?

I never write toward one view. I expect to irritate some readers because I always try to encompass differences. What an idea nowadays, a healthy exchange of ideas. There will be readers who are offended by my America where God is blamed for our failure and readers will be offended by my portrayal of Islam. Or the characters’ explanations. That’s the essence of writing. I show that a dystopian world requires faith and the consequences when faith is outlawed. I’m not an adherent of any particular organized religion. My personal beliefs are strongly felt in God and faith, which is broadly defined. I’m a quasi-practicing Jew who happily buys and decorates our Christmas tree every year because I don’t think there is ever too much peace and joy and love and miracles. Imagine a world where there aren’t any? Welcome to dystopia. How do we survive and how do we overcome that? Is it through organized religion? Do we need a different personalized faith? Literature mustn’t forget its roots and religion has a strong and important place in shaping stories. It’s hard to beat the drama and characters of the Bible.

Have you toyed with the concept of creating an entirely new religion in the future or do you think the current ones will survive?

Since Judaism is 5,000 years old, Buddhism 2,500, Christianity 2,000 and Islam some 1,500, I have faith that some incarnation will survive. God sort of predates everything, remember. But by Book 3, the final chapter in the trilogy, I lay down a foundation for a fusion among the warring peoples, triggered by the missing Pope, the last one. Clearly if we’re embarking on World War Four, something isn’t working. I’ll also ask the reader to consider the notion of whether a robot can have a soul. What is the real definition of life? If we value one life, mustn’t we value all? Otherwise we’re playing God, and that job’s already filled. But talking about longevity of religions brings up another challenge: this is also historical, as well, and history is under attack because it’s so gosh awful messy sometimes. The human race isn’t perfect. Golly gee.

How should science fiction address God?

Very carefully because it’s so easily ludicrous. Booming overhead voice. Thunder. Lighting. Gray beard. Remember that awful Star Trek 5 (I’m an original Trekkie and only focus on Messers Kirk, Spock and McCoy) where they encountered God or some incarnation of God or weren’t sure? Laurence Luckinbill chewing the carpet. If you accept that you can only really see God in His world around you, then as a writer you should focus on that world and the reflection within humanity. The sheer pageantry of religion easily fits into science fiction. It’s gorgeous and inspiring and neatly fits into any genre fiction. But as a speculative fiction writer, it’s necessary to futurize God as you futurize your world. Think A Canticle for Leibowitz. It shouldn’t only be about falling back, a default faith confronted by the world’s horrors. Religion in science fiction should be forward-thinking. In my book series, I offer the possibility of faith ultimately – along with baseball, another societal icon most writers don’t think will make the future cut – as a way of bringing the world together. I never flinch from the horrors of untrammeled religious bigotry; nearly all the Jews have been exterminated, for example. As the world progresses, so must the concept of faith. Then again, the concept of faith remains remarkably and reassuringly static. You can feel the same wonder of prehistoric man if you look at a flower. That’s also religion.

Has the pandemic intensified your belief in writing about religion?

More than ever; we’re all being tested. In addition to writing novels, I also write plays and my new post-pandemic drama, A Black and White Cookie, premieres on Zoom next month. This also explores how faith in ourselves and in our own individual God view can bridge differences. In this play, the chasm is between a gruff conservative African American senior and an eccentric 1960s style Jewish Communist in a New York City finally re-opening. Talk about having faith. With so many diseases let loose in our world, from the viruses of Chinese laboratories to the tragic persistence of hate, writers should offer options without preaching. We can’t simply throw up our hands. We have to show ordinary people overcoming their differences. Nothing saccharine. My work is tinged with darkness, but for darkness to exist there must also be light. The yin and yang of our souls…

What are the main challenges of writing about religion and faith in the future?

Ideas about religion encompass many aspects of our lives such as a way of understanding who we are, how we got here, and what our purpose is. The word itself means to re-ligate or tie back, bond, join. If that bonding is to some notion of God or universal divinity, such that religion helps us reconnect to our spiritual source, that is one thing. However, if the binding is to some set of beliefs that function to join us to an ideology and particularly one that separates believers from nonbelievers, that is something entirely different. Paradoxically, religion then becomes a focal point of disunity instead of unity. It also provides rich story material for conflict in writing fiction; although, I think we must realize this is how religion has often operated factually and historically. Religious beliefs are responsible for many wars, violence, persecution, and the like.

Ultimately, we don’t know how religion and the associated beliefs will evolve. Certainly, things have changed dramatically over recorded history. Polytheistic religions typified by the Gods in Greek and Roman mythology have, in many places, been supplanted by monotheistic religions. As science has become a more entrenched world view, secularism has grown. Science itself can be construed as a belief system and in that sense, it is a religion of sorts.

In my lifetime, I’ve witnessed a growing spirituality. I do not equate this with religion, but beliefs about spirituality intersect with religious beliefs and faith.

Will these trends continue? Speculative fiction writers can take religion and religious ideology in many directions from resurgence of traditional beliefs, replacement by new beliefs, or extinguish these religious beliefs entirely. Any of these are plausible. The challenge is no greater or lesser than how to incorporate any major cultural element or world view into plot and characters.

Do you keep the storylines accessible to all views, or doesn’t that matter?

My preference is not to limit myself to a narrow spectrum of ideas. Fringe beliefs, cults, zealots, nature worship, divinity worship, polytheism, atheism, pantheism, and so on provide almost unlimited possibilities for storyline. When you open this up to alien civilizations, the possibilities expand even further.

While I personally have no desire to offend anyone’s perspective or point of view, it is difficult to be totally inoffensive. Religion can be a taboo subject and can get a writer in trouble. Still, I think you have to be true to story and characters and take on some risk. I would like storylines to be accessible to all views and I am willing to write things that might be controversial.

Have you toyed with the concept of creating an entirely new religion in the future or do you think the current ones will survive?

It’s an interesting question and not one I’ve really thought about. I remember reading Dune in the 70’s where the Orange Catholic Bible features prominently. For those unfamiliar with this book: The Orange Catholic Bible (OCB), also known as the Koranjiyana Zenchristian Scriptures, the Accumulated Book, or the Zenchristian Navakoran, was one of the most important religious texts in the known universe.–dune.fandom.com

Here, Frank Herbert has amalgamated earth-based religion with other-worldly religions. I think it’s brilliant. A lot of science fiction movies incorporate religious concepts. Avatar is a good example. The main character in The Mandalorian follows a creed which is a way of life. The entire Star Wars franchise is rife with religious overtones such the “force”. The battle between the Jedi and Sith is a characterization of good vs. evil.

Even in these extraterrestrial examples, these different religions are not substantially different from what we are familiar with.

How should science fiction address God?

I would venture to answer in much the same manner as humankind has addressed God throughout the ages. Petty and vengeful, benevolent, all powerful or not, whimsical and comedic–any representation can work.

Deity or deities? It seems prudent to suggest that God as singular might be too restrictive. A pantheon of gods, often at war among themselves, worked very well in Western classical literature. As I see it, anything goes when it comes to addressing God in science fiction.

Has the pandemic intensified your belief in writing about religion?

Not at all, the pandemic has not impacted my intensity in writing about religion. However, it has made some of what I have already written more relevant. In the clip, I read from my recently released mystery/suspense/thriller novel that incorporates a lot of spiritual and mystical ideas. Fake news, propaganda and religious teachings as a means of psychologic manipulation and control are central to the story. Book two in the series also happens to have a lethal water-borne viral pathogen developed and employed as a weapon to promote fear and violence. It includes government-sponsored vaccinations as part of a master plan to establish a New World Order. I wrote both books prior to the pandemic. In a stroke of good fortune, much of the subject matter is now even more timely..

Welcome back Stargate lovers and WormholeRiders,

Robert Picardo is best known for his roles on the science fiction shows, Star Trek, Stargate SG- 1 and Stargate Atlantis. His career has been both diverse and fascinating.

Robert Picardo was born on October 27, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He originally attended Yale University as a Pre-Med major (and, ironically enough, played the holographic doctor on Star Trek: Voyager (1995).

Robert also played a doctor on The Golden Girls (1985) episode, The Golden Girls: The Operation (1986)). He later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Drama from Yale University. After earning his degree, he enrolled at the Circle in the Square Professional Theater Workshop.

Mr. Picardo waited tables for a few years until his theatrical work started to take off around 1976. In 1977, he made his Broadway debut in the comedy hit, “Gemini”, with Danny Aiello, and also appeared in Bernard Slade‘s “Tribute”, “Beyond Therapy” as well as “Geniuses” and “The Normal Heart”, for which he won a Drama-Logue Award.

Mr. Picardo became involved in television, where he soon was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as Coach Cutlip on the series, The Wonder Years (1988). Robert appeared in several other series: China Beach (1988), Frasier (1993), Ally McBeal (1997), Home Improvement (1991), The Outer Limits (1995) and Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996).

In 1995, he got the role of the holographic doctor on Star Trek: Voyager (1995), where he also directed two episodes.

Robert is famous for many roles in The Howling (1981), Star 80 (1983), Get Crazy (1983), Oh, God! You Devil (1984), Innerspace (1987), Munchies (1987), Samantha (1991), White Mile (1994), Star Trek: First Contact (1996), Small Soldiers (1998), Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey (2010) During the 1988-1991 television seasons, Picardo was simultaneously seen on the ABC Vietnam series China Beach in the role of Dr. Dick Richard, and the ABC series The Wonder Years in the role of Coach Cutlip. He is among a small group of television actors to achieve notice on two television series at the same time.

Robert Picardo is an accomplished singer (as demonstrated in Star Trek: Voyager: Virtuoso (2000) and Star Trek: Voyager: The Swarm (1996) and has put out a CD of parody songs. While he was at Yale University, he was a member of the Society of Orpheus and Bacchus, the second longest-running undergraduate a Capella group in the United States.

Robert Picardo is a huge fan of Stargate SG-1 (1997) on which he played the recurring character of Agent Richard Woolsey. He later joined Stargate Atlantis, reprising his role. He spoke the final line of the final episode of Stargate: Atlantis (2004).

Gateworld Attempts to Stop LGBTQ Cyber Bullying, But Is It Enough?

Hello Stargate and Science Fiction fans!

Click to visit and follow Gateworld on Twitter
Click to visit and follow Gateworld on Twitter

I am writing to share a story I am concerned about regarding the important human rights issue of Cyber Bullying.

WormholeRiders News Agency has been gracious in allowing me to share my observations with you on their official Stargate web site since it concerns a science fiction series that I cherish regarding recent incidents of Cyber Bullying at the worlds largest Stargate fan site, Gateworld.

I spoke with the Managing Editor of WormholeRiders, Kenn Weeks to confirm the news agency’s official position on such matters.

The Team WHR position has not changed since it’s inception, including fully supporting the NO HATE Campaign on Twitter subsequent to an attack on one of the firms Lesbian reporters in 2009 shortly after WormholeRiders websites were opened.

Click to learn about LGBTQ at the Human Rights Campaign
All images for news purposes only courtesy of their copyright owners are linked back to each official website

This article is about a Stargate admirer who I reached out to after learning his story. I contacted him to ascertain the facts. I have given him the handle “SciFi Fan” (not his real name) to protect his identity. SciFi Fan identifies as an LGBTQ person. He also has a love of a television show called Stargate. Because of the welcoming nature and tolerance to differences that the series of television shows offered viewers for a decade of seasons and four movies, SciFi Fan felt that Gateworld web site would also be a welcoming and tolerant environment.

Click to visit abd follow No N8 Campaign-on-TwitterThat is not what happened according to SciFi Fan who said; “What happened with Gateworld isn’t just my experience. The entire LGBTQ community was forced out. Gateworld has had a blanket ban on LGBTQ content since the beginning. And we’re not the only target. Basically anyone not straight white and Christian is a target”.

Several other individuals who also faced bullying and abuse for their differing views came forward but did not want to be identified. They voiced the same or similar concerns for the reason why they stopped using the Gateworld Forum.`

Gateworld calls itself a family-friendly source for news for the SYFY show, Stargate. They provide a list of do’s and don’ts in their Forum Rules such as, “refrain from personal attacks and name-calling, and from disparaging individuals or groups with crude nicknames they are likely to find offensive.”

Gateworld continues; “Disagreements and debates are fine, but negative personal comments are not welcome. We want our forum to stay friendly! Stick to the issues and the arguments, and when the debate has concluded, agree to disagree. Respecting other members means that they have as much right as you to post their opinion, within the boundaries of the forum topic. Do not tell another member that they should leave. Do not request that the moderators intervene and discipline a member merely because you disagree with a controversial value or opinion”.

Stargate Banner Poster - Click to learn more about MGM's Stargate FranchiseAccording to SciFi Fan, “For the LGBTQ members of the forum, Gateworld allowed one thread where they could talk as long as there were no mentions of gay stuff. No talk about relationships or pictures of gay couples kissing. It was basically just a regular off-topic discussion thread with the occasional link to an LGBTQ news story. But it was under constant attack from other members from the religious and political threads.”

SciFi Fan continues; “For a while, the Mods did their job and removed the offensive posts. They even told one member to not post in there if he’s only doing it to attack other members. But he didn’t receive any kind of punishment. No infraction points, no suspensions. But I guess the Mods got bored of watching the thread because they eventually stopped deleting posts. And the LGBT Q members started leaving.”

    SciFi Fan says that he then approached the owner of Gateworld, Darren Sumner, to complain;

Click to visit and follow Darren Sumner - Owner of Gateword on Twitter!
Click to visit and follow Darren Sumner on Twitter!

“I asked him about Gateworld’s official position on LGBTQ people. If offensive comments about and if he (Darren) world act on them (and) would the offensive comments be removed. He assured me that they would indeed remove posts if they thought they were offensive, and if I could send him some examples of posts I thought broke the rules. I sent examples of dehumanizing language. Referring to trans people as “It” or “That” – like small children do when they’re mad at their siblings. But these are adults. Several of them are over 60. I sent all the examples of slurs I could find. That wasn’t fun to search for. And I tried to explain why doing that made me uncomfortable”.

Sumner’s response, according to SciFi Fan, was less than what he had hoped for, “He suggested I just leave those threads, which doesn’t solve the problem. It creates safe places for hate and intolerance to thrive. And how could I keep posting on Gateworld knowing what was going on in at least three threads? How could I go play in another area knowing the people I’m talking to are debating all the reasons I shouldn’t be allowed to live in another part of the forum”?

Eventually, SciFi Fan says, after many reports of abusive posts to the moderators (trusted members of a forum tasked with moderating the discussion and also keeping the forum clean. Moderators also answer users’ concerns about the forum, general questions, as well as respond to specific complaints) the moderators determined that “there’s nothing wrong with them. The Mods will not get involved with whatever issue I have with the members of the politics threads”.

Further, SciFi Fan stated, “I kept going. Maybe I could convince them. I started posting a link to articles about trans abuse that were relevant to the posts I was reporting. Skydiver, head admin, finally replied to me. She told me if I kept reporting posts she would do to me what I clearly wanted her to do to the members I was reporting. That’s how she said it. “we will do to you what you want us to do to them”
It became obvious, SciFi Fan said, “I was never going to get through to them why it was wrong. Why it hurt so much to visit Gateworld. I thought I could change their minds. Now I knew I couldn’t. It was pointless. The community I was a part of was gone. They didn’t want me. I would never be welcome there. So I left”.

It should be pointed out those social media platforms that are not inclusive of all people run the risk of becoming online headquarters to extremist movements that use online chat rooms, including the infamous ” Discord ” to encourage like-minded users to protest Charlottesville, North Carolina’s efforts to remove long-standing Confederate statues – particularly one of Gen. Robert E. Lee. Discord originally was a chat space for the online gaming community, but some participants used the platform to discuss weapons they might brandish at the Charlottesville rally. Some discussed guns and shields, and one suggested putting a “6-8 inch double-threaded screw” into an ax handle. Multiple posts discussed the logistics of running a vehicle into the expected crowds of counter-protesters.

Prof. Yuval Noah Harari is a historian, philosopher and the bestselling author of Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow, and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century.

Philosopher and historian Yuval Noah Harari, bestselling author of Sapiens noted that social media can be an essential lifeline for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people who live outside of liberal communities. “All of the online world has done some wonderful things, like enabling people who have no immediate community to be part of something.

When I grew up there was nowhere I could go, no one I could meet,” said Harari. Harari, met his husband of 17 years on one of the first gay online dating websites, called CheckMeOut, a long-defunct website that predated the popular gay meet-up app Grindr. “Social media and the internet also means that LGBT people are extremely vulnerable to surveillance and abuse,” Harari said.

SciFi Fan says that he would like to see some changes at Gateworld. “I would like them to delete all the offensive and abusive posts I reported and add homophobic and transphobic slurs to the word filter. Darren has been ‘looking into it’ since 2017. So I don’t think it’s going to happen. At the very least I want them to admit there is a problem at Gateworld. I want them to admit they handled it in the worst possible way by banning the target of hate and abuse to protect the people posting it”.

Gateworld’s response to WormholeRiders is as follows: “GateWorld has provided fans an open space to gather and discuss for nearly 20 years, and some members have taken advantage of our choice to allow for a maximum of free speech. That’s led to some bitter fights and even bullying, and that grieves us. We take all reports of bullying very seriously. And so in 2020 GateWorld will roll out new rules and restrictions to curtail this, and to make the forum a welcoming home for all Stargate fans once again.”

    Enhancements in Progress at Gateworld:

I recently have reached out to Gateworld Management. They are making positive changes. Gateworld has since implemented its new version of their Terms Of Service and has eliminated the threads that they believe caused all the trouble.

It appears that Gateworld has not entirely removed the problem, however. They have not banned the bullies from the site and continue to permit inflammatory language. Gateworld has also not improved the filters that would delete hurtful language from posts. It is a pity that individuals are forced to take their complaints public in order to be heard and to get any reaction from some Social Media platforms.

However, we have confidence that Gateworld, the world’s leading Stargate fansite, will make further enhancements in the future.

Click to visit and follow Sea Shepherd on Twitter! The entire event, Gatecon 2016 The Homecoming, was set up to support Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS), an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization.

People from at least 26 countries attended, demonstrating that there is still much love for Stargate out there.

It was also very interesting to learn more about Sea Shepherd and the good work they do, helping to preserve the world’s oceans.

Click to visit and follow Roger Cross on Twitter!Roger Cross has been very busy. Many of us first met him as a young actor in small roles for Sliders, Stargate SG1, and 21 Jump Street.

Roger kept on working and building up his resume until he was involved in meatier roles more often.

You can now find Roger on some of our favorite shows as a regular, or recurring character – the original X-Files, and First Wave, to Just Cause, 24, Continuum and now, as Six on Dark Matter.

Click to visit and follow Jodelle Ferland on Twitter!Jodelle Ferland had a somewhat earlier start in her career. She was born in 1994, and her first fore into acting began in 1999, so she began her career at the age of 5.

Jodelle also appeared in Smallville, Dead Like Me and Supernatural, and of course as 7 year old Adria on Stargate SG-1.

She later appeared in movies like Twilight, Cabin in the Woods and the Video Game Bio Shock 2.

Jodelle’s latest success is, of course, as Five on Dark Matter!

Click to visit and follow Mike Dopud on Twitter!Mike Dopud joined us as well. He has also been very busy. Besides his guest appearances on Stargate SG 1 and Stargate Atlantis, Mike Dopud has also appeared in Stargate Universe, Battlestar Galactica and Supernatural.

Mike has appeared as a recurring character on popular American series, Mistresses and Cedar Cove. Recently, he appeared as a recurring character on Dark Matter. His character, Arax Nero, although disgraced, did not die. So, it is quite possible that he will be back.

Until the beginning of Season 3, we hope you enjoyed our interview with the Dark Matter actors from Gatecon 2016. I will be back soon with another exclusive interview conducted at Gatecon 2016 The Homecoming!
